A week later I went back to go shopping and the store was not longer there. Asking around, people told me that the store was now in San Pedro. <strong>How did they manage to make the same store in another place?<\/strong> If it was not an awning &#8230; It seems that it is a <strong>Pop-Up Store<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>A Pop-Up Store is when <strong>the space stops from being fixed to become itinerant and temporary<\/strong> to offer, almost always, an unrepeatable experience, it could be on restaurants or shops.<\/p>\n<p>The trend was born in cities such as New York and London, where <strong>new designers and chefs<\/strong> looked for alternative ways to publicize the results of their work, without incurring the fixed costs such as <strong>renting spaces and, at the same time, spreading their work.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For example, a chef set up his restaurant in a private house, basement or terrace and offered an original menu, characterized by being held in a single table with capacity for 25 customers.<\/p>\n<p>Some examples of mainstream brands that have used <strong>Pop-Up Stores in New York are Apple, Nike and Chanel.<\/strong><br \/>\nIn Costa Rica, the brand\u00a0<strong>Et\u00e9rea<\/strong>\u00a0is taking advantage of it.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abEt\u00e9rea had the need for a space to <strong>receive customers<\/strong>, so we were evaluating which options could solve our need, until one day talking with a colleague, Esny Mat\u00edn, we gave shape to the idea of ??<strong>setting up a temporary space<\/strong> in the Art Flow of Avenida Escaz\u00fa; that would solve the initial need and in turn give us a bit of marketing, \u00absays Andrea Rojas, owner and designer of the brand.<\/p>\n<p>The experience has been very interesting, since when performing the pop-up <strong>inside a gallery \/ art workshop<\/strong>, it was a very dynamic space, in which different audiences were found. \u00abWe considered that for the visitors it was a nice experience, since many of them did not know the space or they knew it as an art gallery and not as an Et\u00e9rea store. A la semana siguiente regres\u00e9 para ir a comprar y la tienda no estaba ah\u00ed. Preguntando me contaron que ahora est\u00e1 en San Pedro.<strong>\u00a0\u00bfC\u00f3mo lograron hacer la misma tienda en otro lugar?<\/strong>\u00a0Si no era un toldo\u2026 Parece ser que se trata de\u00a0<strong>espacios pop-up.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El pop-up es cuando\u00a0<strong>el espacio deja de ser fijo para convertirse en ambulante y temporal<\/strong>\u00a0para poder ofrecer, casi siempre, una experiencia irrepetible, tanto restaurantes como tiendas.<\/p>\n<p>La tendencia naci\u00f3 en ciudades como Nueva York y Londres, donde nuevos\u00a0<strong>dise\u00f1adores y chefs\u00a0<\/strong>buscaban v\u00edas alternativas para dar a conocer el resultado de su trabajo, sin incurrir en los costos fijos como el\u00a0<strong>alquiler de espacios y, a la vez, poder difundir su obra.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Por ejemplo, un chef montaba su restaurante en una casa particular, s\u00f3tano o terraza y ofrec\u00eda un men\u00fa original, caracterizado por realizarse en una \u00fanica mesa con capacidad para 25 clientes.<\/p>\n<p>Algunos ejemplos de marcas mainstream que han utilizado un<strong>\u00a0pop up store en New York son Apple, Nike y Chanel.<\/strong><br \/>\nEn Costa Rica, la marca<strong>\u00a0Et\u00e9rea<\/strong>\u00a0le est\u00e1 sacando provecho.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEt\u00e9rea ten\u00eda la necesidad de un espacio para\u00a0<strong>recibir a los clientes<\/strong>, as\u00ed que est\u00e1bamos valorando cu\u00e1les opciones pod\u00edan solucionar nuestra necesidad, hasta que un d\u00eda conversando con una colega, Esny Mat\u00edn, le dimos forma a la idea de\u00a0<strong>montar un espacio tempora<\/strong>l en el Art Flow de Avenida Escaz\u00fa; que nos solucionar\u00eda la necesidad inicial y a su vez nos aportara un poco de marketing\u201d, cuenta Andrea Rojas, due\u00f1a y dise\u00f1adora de la marca.<\/p>\n<p>La experiencia le ha sido muy interesante, ya que al realizarse el pop-up\u00a0<strong>dentro de una galer\u00eda\/taller de arte<\/strong>, fue un espacio muy din\u00e1mico, en el cual se encontraron diferentes p\u00fablicos. \u201cConsideramos que para las visitantes fue una bonita experiencia, ya que muchas de ellas no conoc\u00edan el espacio o bien lo conoc\u00edan como una galer\u00eda de arte y no como una tienda de Et\u00e9rea.
